Honestly don’t have a whole lot of thoughts but rather than fill up a normal link dump with election stuff I figured I’d capture it all here and then probably…hopefully…be mostly sorta done with thinking about politics for a bit.
The Dispatch: Democrats Rout the GOP. Is this, finally, the end of the Trump era? Maybe! I do wish it was a thing after January 6th instead of after a disastrous two more years of him as President but better late than never, right?
Speaking of Trump not accepting election results he doesn’t like, turns out he’s willing to accept them this time. I guess as long as it’s not him, specifically, that lost then reality can be a thing?
Noah Smith: Normal Americans are punishing MAGA. Took them long enough.
US midterm elections: Younger politicians could strengthen trust in democracy. You think?
Stratechery: AI on the Ballot. A solid take, and one of the more interesting things to think about how it will influence the next two years.
Matthew Yglesias: Seventeen thoughts on an epic repudiation of Donald Trump. Very Good List.
The Dispatch Editors: The Fight for the Right Starts Now. Bless their hearts.
John Scalzi: Thoughts From a Tsunami. Scalzi being very Scalzi here. Bless his heart also.
