A love letter to capitalism. I think this runs a little long and I think there are some quibbles and straight up avoidance of the BAD parts of capitalism but it’s very informative and interesting.
I’d never heard of the Great Green Wall and it’s actually pretty amazing to see the pictures and what’s being accomplished to combat the desertification over the last 50 years or so.
The looming demise of the 10x developer wanders around a lot but I think it’s an interesting lens on how things in the industry were changing 3 threes ago compared to what we’re seeing now. I already know Squirt will not have a job like mine because they won’t exist.
A Philosopher’s One-Word Theory to Explain Why the World Feels So Weird. Very long piece but fascinating. I think there’s lots of truth buried in here about how the world, the culture, and the connectedness is altering how humanity works. The idea of a “uni-context” is an entirely new lens for me that I think I will come back to over and over.
Fusion energy company went public and thinks they’ll have something on, oh, ten years or so? Still exciting but I did like the joke “fusion is the energy of the future and it always will be.” Still something to keep an eye out for because it could be a holy grail.
